Job Description
As a lean agile leader, your tasks would be:
- Leading People (pool of 20 – 30 Engineers) in a Software Discipline developing BCM Systems
- Coaching and Mentoring – Acts as Agile Coach and Mentor Key Roles in Team
- Establish & monitor objective feedback channels to measure the performance of the chapter
- Ensures individual growth of employees in order to build high performing teams. (Through trainings, coaching, individual career roadmap, compensation and performance)
- External Sub-Contract management to cover engineering capacity demands that cannot be covered internally for his/her chapter (e.g., statement of work, periodic orderings, assessment of capabilities and performance, financial tracking)
- Handle impediments within teams (conflict management, disciplinary leadership topics)
- Contribution in technical organizational improvements (e.g., processes), define Vision of Organizational development of his/her chapter
- Ensures that the existing processes, methods and standards are known and followed by all colleagues
- Ensures proper staffing (internal & external) of the teams & projects by being close to the technology and projects, i.e., competencies, based on Business Owner demands. Close knowledge gaps in the organization, ensure trainings and work on hiring and retention strategies
- Cost tracking (e.g., training, investments, low value assets) and contribution to cost center budget planning
- Promote Transformation and Encourage Teams and Organization Agile Mindset
A mentor will support you to step wise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.
Your profile
- 10 years relevant professional experience in engineering relevant domain (software development)
- 3+ years experience acting in a role for leading people in the respective engineering discipline within large project setups (technical or disciplinary leadership).
- 3+ years experience in working with agile processes (in a fast-paced, automotive environment)
- Experience in coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution
- Problem solving skills and experience in managing stakeholders
- Good self-management
- Ability to effectively work within a global organization
