Corporate Banking is a technology centric business, with an increasing move to real-time processing, an increasing appetite from customers for integrated systems and access to supporting data. This means that technology is more important than ever for the business.
Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 coders (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that Corporate Bank support are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and by 'horizontals' such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.
Securities Services domain is responsible for the development of applications providing local market connectivity, settlement, fund services and securities lending for financial services clients like Asset Managers, Broker-Dealers and Global Custodians. Our current work includes new SPA web applications, DLT, real-time event processing and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Promote an agile culture and build a strong and cohesive team dynamic.
- Facilitate all Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, Retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Encourage cross team communication and guide continuous backlog refinement with the team
- Intermediate alignment between the development team and product owner and assist in mitigating potential risks and dependencies.
- Keep the status and progress of stories up to date in JIRA
- Promote continuous improvement at the team for all functions, giving recognition for results.
- Make sure team members understand the project’s goals and user stories.
- Help the product owner maintain the product backlog.
- Keep implementation aligned with the agreed roadmap.
- Engage with stakeholders to provide indicative timelines, milestones and estimations for team deliverables and solutions.
- Ensure team availability, reliability, and performance.
- Facilitate collection of business requirements, understand the high-level scope, and foster for quality of deliverables.
- Keeping the organization, particularly the project’s stakeholders, up to date on the progress of the scrum team’s projects
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience of working in an agile environment practicing Scrum (Kanban, XP are nice to have) preferably few years of experience.
- Strong Agile skills - preferably experience as an Agile Scrum Master
- Experience using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency.
- Preferable to have the first level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) and knowledge of Scrum patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (eg: burndown techniques, retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
- Experience or technical experience in financial environments is a plus around Java, Cloud technologies would be a plus.
- Nice to have knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
- College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, finance or information systems is considered advantage.
- Previous experience as a team lead, lead business analyst or similar
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
